Tenzin Norbu, a painter from Dolpo who lives in Dolpo and Kathmanndu if he does not spent time in the west with his exhibition, originally learnt the skills of a Thankapainter from his father. He developed his own style away from tradtional Thanka painting towards an expression of daily life in Dolpo. We hope to be able to finance a wallpainting from him at Tapriza School in the future. Part of the proceeds from the sales of his paintings go to the school in his own village Tinkyu that he has supported since its beginnings.
