After the official part, we invite you to a buffet and drinks. Stay and enjoy a short film about everyday school life. Non-members are also welcome to participate (without voting rights).
2021 was marked by challenges due to the continued pandemic and required a lot of flexibility from the school management, parents, and children. Despite all that, there is good news to share too. We were able to implement two long-awaited projects: During lockdown the teachers installed a stable and safe fresh water supply, which feeds the school directly from a spring via a long supply line. And, a new levelled volleyball court was inaugurated. We have mixed feelings about the changes in our staff this year: A student who had joined Tapriza School in 1998 when it just opened, has now returned as a teacher. This was our goal right from the start – to give young people a meaningful job in Phoksumdo itself. On the other hand, we are wistful that both Amas (school mothers) retired at the end of 2021. Since the beginning they were the heart and soul of the boarding facility and lovingly looked after the well-being of the children.
