Current medical situation May 2021 (25/05/2021)

In the beginning of spring, the school could still open because at that time there were no Covid-19 cases in Phoksumdo. However, now there is a lockdown in all of Nepal, and the Tapriza school also has closed. The cases are increasing in Dolpo.

The first Covid-19 deaths in Dunai became known around May 20, the hospital is not equipped with oxygen and can hardly help. In Do Tarap, government employees who tested positive were flown out by helicopter. The disease has already spread in Upper Dolpo and the number of unreported cases is high, as there is hardly any testing due to a lack of testing kits.
